What a cracker of a weekend.

Thanks for the opportunity to host this inaugural Queensland EWB’s Makerthon

This was a hackathon with a twist – we saw 5 teams over the 3 days and developed practical solutions and produced prototypes to solve a real-world problem!

In partnership with Choice, Passion, Life (CPL), teams overcame 5 seperate challenges to design an inclusive society for people with disabilities.

The winning team will receive ongoing support by Australia Young Engineer of the Year Stephen Bornstein and Substation 33 to further refine their prototype with CPL!

This weekends winning team “The Word,” developing their magnetic charging and status port.

1st place goes to “The Word.” They developed a magnetic charging port along with a status indicator. Truly excellent work.

See you next year EWB…
