Substation33 is devoted to repurposing e-waste into innovative products, so when a Boema coffee machine came in as e-waste we hatched a plan . . .

Our coffee enthusiasts at Substation33 worked together to
repair the coffee machine and make a knock box and cup holders out of recycled acrylic, and Boema kindly supplied some missing components. Extraction Coffee donated a grinder, beans and cups and we were set to start caffeinating people.

 

We then installed the machine in our Solar Trailer so it
could work totally off-grid.

The Solar Coffee Trailer can be hired for events and we often partner with the local YMCA school so their hospitality students can gain barista experience.
